Award winning Margaret River winery, Xanadu Wines, is celebrating its 40th anniversary over the WA Day long weekend, unveiling its highly anticipated new release wines. Founded in 1977, Xanadu has won 53 major wine show trophies since 2007.
To commemorate the major milestone, Xanadu will be releasing the 2014 Xanadu Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2015 Xanadu Reserve Chardonnay.
Guests are invited to visit the cellar door over the WA Day long weekend (June 3 to 5) and enjoy a complimentary tasting of the new release Reserve and Stevens Road wines, and book a seat at the restaurant to enjoy a specially designed two course lunch matched to these new Reserve wines.
The winery will also be hosting a one-off private tasting session in the barrel hall on Sunday 4th June, led by winemaker Glenn Goodall. The intimate tasting experience will showcase the four new Reserve releases, as well as five exceptional award-winning back vintages. Learn first-hand from Xanadu’s winemakers as they share their unique stories of what went into creating these wines and why Xanadu is Margaret River’s most successful wine show winner of the past decade.
Following the private tasting session, guests can enjoy a specially matched two-course lunch with local seasonal produce, paired with the Reserve wines in the restaurant. Bookings are essential as spaces are limited.
