Whether you are looking to make a brand new start of it, or you are just there for the weekend, New York is a hell of a place to be. Of course, if you are planning a trip to the city so good they named it twice, you’ll want to know where the best places to spend your time are, and what you simply must not miss. Lucky that’s precisely what the post below can help you with.

Coney Island

It may not be the most glamorous place in the city, but the first place that needs to be on your ‘not to be missed’ list is Coney Island.

In fact, when most people think of Coney Island what their mind really goes to is Luna Park, the amusement complex located there and open through the whole summer season. A place perfect for taking a few Instagram worthy pics for sure.

It’s also where you will find the famous Cyclone roller coaster among other things, and if you can time your visit right, you may even be able to join in with the festivities that are the Mermaid Parade. An event that usually happens in June and is truly not to be missed.

Broadway

Another activity not to be missed when exploring the city of New York is a trip to the world-famous Broadway. I’m not just talking about taking a walk down the boulevard here, but actually taking the time to stop and see a show.

In fact, as, apart from London’s West End, Broadway has the best selection of live shows, performance and musicals anywhere in the world, you will be spoiled for choice.

Of course, tickets for such products can set you back a hefty fee. That is unless you use a provider that offers Broadway tickets at a reduced cost. Something that means you can see the shows you have always dreamed of during your visit, and still have money left in your pocket for other adventures as well.

Eat at a Deli

When visiting New York, you will find that just about every type of food and cuisine is on offer within the city limits. However, what this metropolis is best known for is its Italian and Jewish Delis that offers sandwiches the likes of which non-natives have ever seen.

Of course, the most well known of all of these is Katz Deli on the Lower East Side. A place where you will find sandwiches filled to the max with home-cured corned beef and pastrami. The deliberately brusk service staff also add an additional New York flavor to the whole proceedings that is not to be missed.

Guggenheim

Lastly, as I’m sure you are aware, New York is a metropolis that is filled to the brim with cultural experiences. Probably the most famous of these is the Guggenheim museum. A place not only packed with exciting and provocative modern art but whose architectural design is a treat in itself.

There is even a 2pm guided tour of the facility included in the standard admission price.  Something that you definitely won’t want to miss.
