I was really pleased with this – two sheets of frozen puff pastry, layered with some spicy caramelised onion relish, thinly sliced pumpkin (tossed in olive oil, salt & pepper then roasted for 20 mins) and some good quality marinated feta, then garnished with balsamic glaze and rocket. A quick and easy Sunday night dinner.

It’s been ages since I tried a new Macca’s burger (in Australia, anyway) so decided to try the new Aussie Angus. Its main features are beetroot and egg, the rest is pretty standard stuff. . Opening the box, my first thought was that it was surprisingly big. Then I tried to pick it up and the contents all slid out of the bun. Splat. Taking the photo on my own was quite a challenge. . As for the taste, I’ve never been impressed with the Angus creations, they’re all a bit bland. The rubbery breakfast egg didn’t help with the texture and it was just too sloppy to keep structural integrity. Stick with an HJ’s Aussie Burger. .
