Plating Up WA Returns to Celebrate Local Produce

June may see the start of a chilly winter ahead, but that’s no excuse for lounging around in front of the TV. Across the state, our top chefs and venues will be presenting local dishes highlighting Western Australian seasonal produce and ingredients from our farmers, cattlemen, fishmongers, cheesemakers, winemakers, and beverage crafters.

Now in its second year, this celebration of WA produce presented by Buy West Eat Best features over 40 venues highlighting their hero dish. From casual to fine dining, burger bars to wineries, tapas to dessert there are mouth-watering options and price points to suit everyone.

All participating venues will showcase WA produce driven dishes, with many creating a featured dish available throughout the month. See them all at the Plating Up WA website.

Chef Dean Wood of Taylors Street Quarters in Esperance said campaigns such as Plating Up WA are vital in highlighting WA produce and venues.

They offer a chance for producers to put a face to their product and tell consumers their stories – the real life of food production. And for venues, they allow a chance to get creative, put on something special, market to new customers and showcase the best of WA in their own, unique ways.
