Longest LunchPerth’s Longest Lunch, a six-hour, six course extravaganza celebrating the very best Western Australia has to offer, will return to Crown Perth this May.

After its debut last year, event organisers are expecting to see 900 people come together on Friday 20 May, from high noon to sundown, for fine food, sumptuous wines, captivating entertainment and a celebration of human spirit and generosity.

Perths Longest Lunch

This truly unmissable event, which raises funds for Brightwater Care Group, is challenging Perth’s business community to turn away from their computer screens and mobiles, take time out from the board table and dedicate a full afternoon to cultivating relationships over the dining table with fabulous food and wine instead.

Featuring an extraordinary one-off menu, carefully curated to showcase some of Western Australia’s most delectable produce in a new light by Crown Perth’s executive sous chef Sean Marco, the day promises to deliver a unique gastronomic experience for all in attendance.

Perths Longest Lunch The carefully crafted degustation menu offers an explosion of flavours over six indulgent courses – from bunya nut floss, indigenous herbs and fermented pineapple to complement the richness of duck in the entrée through to the striking transformation of the humble apple in the dessert, where it will take the form of a cremeaux, an apple cloud, cider gellee and granny smith ice, cleverly challenged by the flavours of walnut sand and fennel jam.

Actor, director and all ‘round entertainer Shane Jacobson has already been confirmed as the MC, and will bring his unique sense of humour and fun to the proceedings.

“Brightwater is passionate about creating opportunities to reconnect people with the aspects of life that make them happiest and deliver the biggest benefits, said Brightwater Care Group’s Chief Executive, Jennifer Lawrence.

“We’re applying the same philosophy to this event. Relationships, and especially professional relationships, have become so fast-paced, that we often forget the importance of really connecting with people and sharing time together – like you would in the most traditional networking opportunities, such as a long business lunch.

“But, its more than just creating a networking opportunity, we’re also creating opportunity way for them to do something amazing for the community at the same time by supporting Brightwater.

Ms Lawrence said that what really struck a note with attendees at last year’s inaugural event was that it was an afternoon to remember and rewarding for everyone involved.

Perths Longest Lunch“Perth Longest Lunch guests are guaranteed a wonderful afternoon where all they need to worry about is enjoying each other’s company. Brightwater will take the responsibility for ensuring there is excellent food, first-class wines, wonderful service and a plethora of jaw-dropping entertainment.

Last year almost $300,000 was raised during the event, which also saw a brand new Mercedes Benz raffled off and a fierce bidding war for unique auction prizes, including a day with the SAS and a $50,000 Zorzi kitchen renovation.

Guests at last year’s Perth’s Longest Lunch described the event as ‘exceptional’, ‘incredible’ and ‘not-to-be-missed’.

Perths Longest LunchTickets are now on sale and cost $295 per person. Tables can be sized according to the number of people in a group – be that eight or fourty-eight.
