News: William Street Long Lunch returns

Perth’s iconic roving lunch returns this Spring! William Street legends La Cholita, No Mafia, Shadow Wine Bar and Sauma have joined forces to create the ultimate roving lunch – 4 venues, 4 courses with drinks to match. The William Street Long Lunch runs every Saturday in October.

The William Street Long Lunch is a day in the life of Northbridge’s most vibrant strip, and a snapshot of what its star venues dish up daily.

This collaborative community experience begins at Mexican joint La Cholita, where foodies will wet their appetite with a Primavera Pimento cocktail (Blanco tequila, elderflower, fresh lime, capsicum, cucumber, and agave) and Beef chicharron, crispy duck, ancho salt.

After a short walk down William Street, lunch-goers will arrive at No Mafia. Be transported to Italy for Housemade maccheroni, pork & rosemary sausage and a glass or Tuscan Vino Bianco or Rosso. Non-drinkers will enjoy a Non-Gin+Tonica.

Then it’s off to Shadow Wine Bar. The European-inspired restaurant will celebrate the warmer weather with Lamb rump, eggplant, salsa verde (or Roast pumpkin, almond cream, lentil salad for vegetarians) and a glass of Juniper Estate Crossings Bordeaux Blend (Non #1 – Salted Raspberries, Chamomile is available for non-drinkers).

The roving lunch is capped off at Indian restaurant, Sauma. Lunch go-ers will delight in a Chai panna cotta, strawberries, lemon curd, cardamom honeycomb, chocolate mint with an accompanying Sauma Colada — cardamom infused rum, coconut, fresh watermelon, lime, bitters or a Watermelon Blossom mocktail.

The William Street Long Lunch begins anytime between 11.30am – 2.30pm at La Cholita. No bookings required, patrons can just stroll in and go at their own pace.

4 courses, 4 venues, $60pp ($15 to be paid at each venue).
Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free and Non-Alcoholic options are available at each venue.
