It will have the same gorgeous West Australian ocean sunset views, but this year Sunset Wine is moving south – but only 800 meters! The popular wine and food festival is changing location while Scarborough Beach Reserve gets a makeover.
Event director Richard Campbell from CMS Events said the new venue at Brighton Reserve was an almost identical space to previous years..
“People will still be able to relax overlooking the beach on the Sunset Balcony or sit back on the grassy slopes listening to local musicians,” Mr Campbell said.
Sunset Wine started in 2014 after CMS Events was approached by the City of Stirling to introduce an event similar to their UnWined in Subiaco to complement their Summerset Arts Festival.
Mr Campbell said Sunset Wine was about enjoying a classic summer sunset, tasting fantastic Western Australian wine, craft beers, ciders and spirits, along with tapas style food.
“Along with gourmet food, live music and good friends, it’s the recipe for one of summer’s best boutique events,” he said. “There is a great range of local wines on offer, to taste, then enjoy with a glass at the event or take home some bottles to share later. The wine locker is on site to store your purchases during the day as well.”
The event includes wineries, brewers, distillers, gourmet food and live entertainment. As a feature the “Sunset Balcony” is included to provide views to the ocean as well as over the event. Sunset Wines will move back to the Scarborough Beach Reserve once the redevelopment has been completed.
The event will be held on February 18 and 19 from 2.30pm to 7.30pm each day. Tickets can be pre-purchased for $28 (including booking fee and charges) here or at the gate for $33.
