A series of free virtual tours by tour operator Hidden deTours is set to launch via Facebook Live. Aptly named the ISOLATION LIBATION TOURS, they will feature Perth producers making wine, gin, beer, cider and more.
Hidden deTours’ bus and walking tours are on hold during the current climate due to social distancing and liquor regulations.
The first tour in the series is the ISO Wine Tour to Bickley Valley on Saturday 25 April from 1- 4.30pm. This 3.5 hour virtual tour will showcase seven wineries including Tonon Vineyard and Winery, Fairbrossen, Carldenn Homestead Winery, Plume Estate Vineyard, Myattsfield, Hainault Vineyard and La Fattoria.
A winery is featured every half an hour as Hidden deTours owner Monique Boucher takes you on a behind the scenes tour and chats with the winemakers and owners. In each winery, two wines will be featured and tasting notes provided.
Viewers can purchase featured wines online from the wineries prior to Saturday 25 April and enjoy a tipple whilst the event is streaming. As the ISO tours are live, viewers are also invited to ask questions directly to the producer.
Monique is very passionate about the venues she visits throughout the year.
“The producers become part of the tour family and strong relationships have built up over time. Local producers are doing it tough at the moment, so we created our ISO tours to shine a light on these businesses in an interactive and fun way. We also want viewers to know how they can support these local businesses as they sell their products via different means to previously.”
The Isolation Libation Tours are a great opportunity to explore and enjoy a range of Perth craft producers whilst relaxing at home.
Dates: Saturday 25 April 2020 1- 4.30pm. Other tours every Saturday afternoon thereafter. Duration: 3.5 hours
