I hope to be presenting more complex recipes than this (although I tend to be an overconfident cook) but of course I was curious to try the new range of pre-seasoned mince by Curtis Stone from @colessupermarkets .
I decided to try the “Italian” variety of beef & pork mince with “Italian seasoning”, thyme, oregano, garlic and onion powder. As per the suggestion, I grabbed a jar of “Mum’s Sause” and headed for the stove.
There’s not much else to say, really. I had an edible bolognese quicker than it took to cook the pasta. It wasn’t anything special, but you wouldn’t expect it to be. Yes, you could be much more creative with the mince but if you were likely to do that you probably wouldn’t buy it in the first place.
A quality product, but I’m not sure of the market. Also available in Mexican, Thai & Chinese.
