October 7-13 marks the 21st annual Curry Week. The first Curry Week took place in 1998, founded by the late Peter Grove. During October, Northbridge’s Louder Louder will be offering a green chicken curry with a Colonial Brewing Co South West Sour can of beer for $25.
Korkahn Sukwahrinn, the owner of Louder Louder explains. “Sour, sweet, salty, bitter and spicy flavours work together to give Thai curries their signature taste, and this dish and beer pairing reflect those unique flavours perfectly.”
Thai cooking places emphasis on lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components and a spicy edge, and varies depending upon the area or region of Thailand the dish originates from. These regions include the north, northeast, south and central. Louder Louder’s menu focuses largely on the Isaan region, which consists of 20 provinces in the northeastern region of Thailand.
Korkahn Sukwahrinn opened Louder Louder in 2018 to give Perth locals a chance to experience authentic Isaan cuisine accompanied by a full bar.
