Today was our second visit to Typika in Claremont – going back has been on our “to do” list for some time – and we weren’t disappointed. The coffee was outstanding, as were Renay’s buttermilk pancakes with a poached pear, strawberries, nut crumble, vanilla custard and cinnamon sugar.

There was so much to choose from on the menu (including the famous spiced beef Benedict and French toast with banana, maple candied bacon & salted caramel), but I eventually settled onย the huevos rancheros with chorizo, slow cooked egg and sheep’s milkย feta. It was surprisingly spicy and quite delicious!
