A Refreshingly High-End Breakfast at Lagoon Yallingup

Lagoon Yallingup

Lagoon Yallingup was a must-visit on my recent trip to the Margaret River, it’s a venue that’s (ashamedly) been on my to-do list for some time. The creation of chef Ben Jacob and wife Megan, it’s an elegant but casual breakfast / lunch / kiosk destination with serious cooking behind the scenes.

I visited for breakfast and was impressed to see how busy the kiosk was; I was even more impressed by the quality and creativity of the breakfast menu. Perth cafes take note – we’ve really dropped the ball when it comes to breakfast.

Dishes pictured here:
– French toast, fingerlime curd, vanilla mascarpone, pistachio & mandarin. The best French toast I’ve had, and not just because I’m a citrus lover (but that probably helped)
– wild mushroom & truffle croquettes, poached eggs, shallot, enoki, pecorino.

Lagoon Yallingup is one of the best restaurants in the Margaret River area, and an easy choice for breakfast. Fantastic food, friendly service, family owned & operated. I can’t wait to go back for lunch.
