A quick lunch at Nasi Lemak Korner, South Perth

Nasi Lemak Korner

This isn’t my normal kind of lunch destination – we were originally supposed to go to Gami! – but my friend Vada had a meeting to get to so we agreed to meet closer to her office and Nasi Lemak Korner in South Perth was her choice.

Nasi Lemak Korner

I chose the nasi lemak with sambal ayam (chicken cooked in a “tasty spicy gravy” served with coconut flavoured rice, egg, fried peanuts and anchovies) which I found to be pleasant, the chicken had a reasonable amount of heat but was a little dry in places. Certainly a decently sized serving.

VadaΒ had the mee goreng mamak (penang style fried noodles with prawns, dried squid strips, chive fritters, egg and potatoes) – unfortunately the prawns in the dish were practically raw so she sent it back, but they came back to her still uncooked. I was full but she left a very unhappy customer.

Not a good experience and neither of us will be returning, unfortunately.
