A Denmark Escape to Parry Beach Breaks
Back in March, I attended two weekends of Taste Great Southern and decided to stay in the region during the week in-between. I was fortunate to be invited to stay at Parry Beach Breaks, a small group of luxury villas 30 minutes outside of Denmark.
Parry Beach Breaks currently offers three villas, with two more being built. Starting at just $150 per night, there are different configurations depending on number of guests and so on. I stayed in Shangri-La, which is priced from $230 per night.
See here for information on current packages and discounts.
The villas are easy to find, although access is via a fairly lengthy gravel road which my definitely-not-a-4-wheel-drive car coped with fine.
Each villa is well-separated from the others, and you certainly get the sense of isolation when you walk in and absorb the breathtaking views. You’re left alone the whole time during your visit, and the check-in and out process is smooth.
Everything you need is provided, from fridge to fireplace, and little touches such as crockery just for kids shows the effort that has made these villas as homely as possible. The finishes are all excellent – if you’ve ever wanted to stay in a house like you see on The Block, this is a great choice.
I stayed in my villa for three nights, and it’s the kind of place where you just want to enjoy the quiet and switch off from the world. Denmark is only 30 minutes away and you can stock up on everything you need there; it’s also not too far if you have the urge to pop out. I even managed to get some writing done!
I stayed in the villa on my own, although they sleep up to six and there’s plenty of space for any group or family.
Parry Beach Breaks represents great value for money whatever your requirements, and they also cater for weddings.
