I recently joined some friends for dinner in their West Perth apartment, with the mission of ordering a 5-course feast from some our favourite Perth restaurants courtesy of UberEATS. With so many restaurants and dishes to choose from, it took us a quite a while (and a few arguments) to make our selection.
We ordered everything at the same time which resulted in a flurry of activity up and down the stairs, with all of our orders arriving within the usual 30-45 minutes. Thankfully the easy-to-use app helps you keep track of your orders, including live estimated delivery times.
Read on to see dishes from just five of the many Perth restaurants available on UberEATS.
PappaRich’s mission is to create a modern version of the traditional Malaysian coffee shop, and there are over 125 stores worldwide serving traditional hawker-style dishes such as nasi lemak and roti canai, and drinks such as teh tarik.
We started our meal with an entree course of beef satay and roti canai.
There’s no need to go thirsty when dining with UberEATS, and we chose beverages from Chatime, a fresh bubble and milk tea specialist with 70 stores in Australia and over 1,000 worldwide.
We ordered a large milky and fruity iced tea combo. Drinks can be fully customised from within the UberEATS app.
Authentic Bites DUMPLING HOUSE
Northbridge’s Authentic Bites serve up the best dumplings in Perth, but their popularity often means you need to queue for a table…unless you get your meal home delivered, of course 🙂
The pork & prawn wontons in spicy sauce is one of Authentic Bites’ most popular dishes, and we added some fried wontons for a delicious second entree course.
The choice of main course for our UberEATS feast was easy – Perth’s best fried chicken from Meat Candy. Specialising in Nashville-style fried chicken, this quirky, old-school restaurant is one of the hottest places in town.
We enjoyed a feast of a chicken sandwich, fried chicken (spicy, of course!), a classic Angus cheese burger and a side of mac & cheese. Yum.
There are plenty of UberEATS dessert options, but we chose handcrafted gelato from Gusto Gelato, ordering a generous 1 litre tub with three flavours (mango, strawberry & choc chip and Gusto, a decadent peanut gelato with dark chocolate ripple and brownie chunks).
Don’t be afraid to order ice cream through UberEATS, it’s well packed and insulated in transit so will arrive still cold and ready to enjoy.
