2018: The Year in Cafes, Breakfast and Coffee


Perth’s coffee offering came a long way this year, although it wasn’t always smooth sailing. While we said goodbye to some favourites over the past last 12 months – Layup, Daphne and Beaufort Street’s Mrs S spring to mind – there always seemed to be a newcomer ready to take their place. Too many of these openings were from hospitality first-timers with little-to-no experience getting in right at the deep end, yet the class of 2018 still managed to produce plenty of standouts.
